Artistic Philosophy

For more than three decades, I’ve photographed people, animals, and landscapes with one simple goal: to make photographs that reveal my subjects personality and hold their beauty over time.

I work primarily in black and white because it removes distractions and keeps the focus where it belongs; on expression, composition, and light. During a session, I pay close attention to the small, unguarded moments that reveal who your pet truly is. The final photographs are meant to be lived with, not scrolled past — artwork that honors the relationship you share and belongs on your walls, not buried on a hard drive.

The Portrait Experience

Planning Your Session

Every portrait commission begins long before the camera comes out. We start with a conversation — a chance for me to learn about your companion, their personality, and the gestures or expressions you love most. Whether your pet is confident, reserved, energetic, or aging gracefully, the session is shaped entirely around who they are.

Together, we select the ideal background, lighting, and pacing to honor your pet’s unique character.

The Portrait Session

Studio Sessions

The studio is a calm, uncluttered space with controlled light and minimal distractions. It’s an environment designed to help pets relax and settle in, allowing their natural expressions and posture to emerge. We move slowly, giving them time to explore, warm up, and show us their authentic selves. In-studio sessions typically last about 90 minutes and 2-3 different setups.

On-Location Sessions

For pets who feel most secure at home or or love the outdoor environment, an on-location session may be the perfect fit. Whether we work in your living room, backyard, or another meaningful space, the goal remains the same: to create honest, expressive portraits that reflect your companion’s true personality. Location sessions typically last 90-120 minutes. We are never on the clock though. I work with you and your pet until I am satisfied we have captured some great photos.

Artwork Review & Consultation

Within 7 days of your photoshoot, you will receive a link to your private online gallery. From here, you’ll be able to select your 10 complimentary social media images and your included 11x14 print. The gallery also allows you to order additional products directly at your convenience.

For those who prefer a more hands-on experience, I highly recommend scheduling a complimentary art consultation at the studio. During this relaxed, no-pressure appointment, you’ll have the chance to see and feel bespoke product offerings in person, explore options for displaying your artwork, and receive my guidance in selecting the pieces that will best tell your pet’s story.

Every print product is sourced from carefully selected, top-tier vendors known for their exceptional quality. Handcrafted in the USA and Italy.

Investment Overview

Commission Fee - $375

Your commission fee is due at the time of booking and includes:

  • A personalized portrait session (studio or on-location)

  • Ten complimentary social-media images

  • One 11x14 fine art print

  • Private online gallery for reviewing and selecting portraits

  • A relaxed no-pressure artwork consultation

The commission fee covers the session itself and the complimentary artwork. Additional artwork is purchased separately.

Most clients choose to create a collection of framed fine-art pieces, folios, or multiple prints for their home.

While every client’s needs are different, most invest between $1,500 and $3,500 in their final artwork.

All artwork is handcrafted using archival papers, premium inks, and museum-grade framing, produced in the USA and Italy.

Typical printing and delivery times are 2–3 weeks.

A Flexible, No-Pressure Experience

There is no minimum purchase required. You simply select the portraits and artwork that resonate with you most. My goal is to guide, not to sell — ensuring your final pieces feel meaningful, personal, and beautifully suited to your home.

A portrait commission is an investment in artwork that honors the life and spirit of a companion who means everything to you. Every piece is crafted with intention, patience, and museum-quality materials designed to last for generations.

“If I could rate it 10 stars or more, I would! This was my first time doing a professional photoshoot especially one with my dog. Thomas was incredibly professional, kind, considerate and just all around a blast to work with! I didn't feel stressed at all during the actual shoot, he made me feel confident and relaxed during it. The pictures turned out better than what I thought. I HIGHLY recommend booking through him, you won't regret it :)”
