An intimate, custom portrait session celebrating your furry companion.
Artistic Philosophy
For more than three decades, I’ve photographed people, animals, and landscapes with one simple goal: to make photographs that reveal my subjects personality and hold their beauty over time.
I work primarily in black and white because it removes distractions and keeps the focus where it belongs; on expression, composition, and light. During a session, I pay close attention to the small, unguarded moments that reveal who your pet truly is. The final photographs are meant to be lived with, not scrolled past; artwork that honors the relationship you share and belongs on your walls, not buried on your phone.
The Portrait Experience
The portrait experience is calm, flexible, and designed around your dog.
There’s no requirement for perfect behavior or training. Active, curious, and expressive dogs are just as welcome as quiet ones. Sessions are guided with patience and care, allowing genuine moments to unfold naturally.
Many clients come to this experience for the first time. The process is intentionally simple and pressure-free, with time to enjoy the images and decide what feels right. The focus is on creating meaningful artwork; something made to live in your home, not just on a screen.
The Portrait Session
Studio Sessions
The studio is a calm, uncluttered space with controlled light and minimal distractions. It’s an environment designed to help pets relax and settle in, allowing their natural expressions and posture to emerge. We move slowly, giving them time to explore, warm up, and show us their authentic selves. In-studio sessions typically last about 60 minutes and a couple of different setups. Studio sessions are ideal for clients who prefer clean, timeless look that feels contemporary.
On-Location Sessions
For pets who feel most secure at home or love the outdoor environment, an on-location session may be the perfect fit. Whether we work in your living room, backyard, or another meaningful space, the goal remains the same: to create honest, expressive portraits that reflect your companion’s true personality. We will decide together in our planning sessions what location is best suited to you and your pet. On-location sessions are well suited for clients who value a more organic feel and enjoy seeing their dog in a place that already holds meaning.
Selecting Your Artwork
After your session, you’ll receive access to a private online gallery featuring a curated selection of images from the shoot. The gallery is designed to be simple and intuitive, giving you time to view the photographs, revisit favorites, and share them with family and friends.
Your gallery will remain available for 60 days, allowing you to make decisions at your own pace. There is no pressure to choose immediately and no expectation that you purchase beyond what feels right for you.
Each session includes either a finished fine art print or a credit that may be applied toward additional artwork. For clients who wish to explore further, a range of artwork options and image collections are available, with clear pricing and no obligation.
This part of the process is meant to feel thoughtful and unhurried; a chance to reflect on the images and decide how you’d like them to live in your home.
Session Information & Pricing
Every session is designed to feel complete and unhurried, with clear options and no pressure to purchase beyond what’s included.
Some clients prefer to begin with a simple introduction, while others choose a more comprehensive experience from the start. Each session option below stands on its own, allowing you to choose what feels right without needing to decide anything beyond that.
A $225 session retainer is required to reserve your date and is applied toward your selected session package. The remaining balance is due on or before the session date.
The Fine Art Session - $225
The Fine Art Session is an approachable introduction to commissioning fine art portraits of your pet.
Includes:
Up to one hour of photography, in the studio or on location.
Private online gallery available for 60 days.
Three edited web-resolution digital images for sharing.
One 11x14 archival fine art print.
The Signature Session - $695
The Signature Portrait Experience is designed for clients who want a more complete outcome; combining artwork for their home with a small collection of digital images.
Includes:
Up to one and a half hours of photography, in the studio or on location.
Private online gallery available for 60 days.
Three edited web-resolution digital images for sharing.
Three fully retouched digital high-resolution images.
One 16x20 archival fine art print.
The Elite Session - $1495
The Elite Portrait Experience is designed for clients who want a complete and cohesive body of work; a finished collection that can be enjoyed both physically and digitally.
This experience allows for additional time and flexibility during the session, creating space for a deeper, more refined set of images.
Includes:
Up to two hours of photography, in the studio or on location.
Private online gallery available for 60 days.
Six edited web-resolution digital images for sharing.
A handcrafted 11x14 Reveal Box containing six archival. matted fine art prints.
Six fully retouched high-resolution digital images matched to the print collection
